I did not think you could hover a drone like that. It was pretty cool.

They are actually selling drones to farmers now. You will be able to check fields, cows, irrigation, you name it. Even spy on the neighbors.

I wonder how you get away with that. The space 500 feet above your head is yours. Everyone is supposed to stay out of that unless they have a warrant. I believe that if I found a drone hovering less than 500 feet on my place it would come under intense anti aircraft fire.

My brother worked for a major Canadian contractor who built drones and their software for the U.S. military going back starting about 20 years ago.
He made a really good living from it.

RC quad copters are outfitted with cams these days, and easy to hover in place. If you want to call that a drone, which many do now.

Yeah every tom dick and harry has a YouTube video now a days of their little battery powered copters with a webcam view of their hometown.
But the military drones that grandfathered them carried alot more then just a camera.....definitely had an impact in the middle east.

a prepped pile of snow.

I jumped off of a second story railing into tall mountain snow once, and hit a crust underneath the top layer of cushiony snow. Not so soft. Might have been where the roof had been depositing sluffed off snow. Walked away thinking, I"m glad I didn't just break my ankles.
