Workman's Comp?

Good post.

When I was building, I kept very good books. When we were doing trim work the comp was much lower.......I took advantage of that.
 
If your guys are raking it isn't tree work it is landscaping. If they are planting, it is excavation. Obviously if someone is aloft with a saw it is tree work. Break your guys down by what they do daily or weekly and you may save a few bucks.
It is all in the way it is written and/or reported.

My only problem with this was all the documentation required by Amerisafe, spent more bookkeeping than savings. But with some of those rates you all have stated may be a different story.
 
Nick, that percentage deal sticks in my craw as well.
Butch, there are many outfits around here that do exactly that!
My comp carrier (saif) will not let us break down our duties, ground man are billed the same as climbers. Seems silly as temp agencies will lease you groundies but not climbers anymore
