What hourly charge would you recommend

Pricing practices.
 
I don't mind stickin it to wealthy clients in La Jolla and north county n such.

But I draw the line at senior citizens on fixed incomes n such.

A guy's gotta sleep at night yu know....

And a guys gotta eat also. I'm not about gouging someone but I'm not about to lose money on a job either. If a truck costs 100k, you need to bill out $100 an hour for it. Since he's doing it himself this might not apply but for an employee making $25 an hour, the employer is paying out closer to $50 an hour. My guess at $150 is bare bones money. Covers cost.

2 way travel time for sure.

I billed the custy, after which he said he was very happy with everything.

Im a frugal individual and it rubs off in my pricing, I hate to charge too much. Which isn't good for my bank account.
 
You're not forcing anyone into anything, not storm/emergency work.

I guarantee you have a Lot more into your bucket truck than I have into my chipper. That goes for almost all bucket trucks and choppers, when new.

You deserve to charge more per hour for your bucket than my chipper, even though each is a "machine".

A super pro worker deserves more per hour than a rookie,
Not just a flat rate.
