Purple understand redorects do certain things without fully understanding the vector forces.


I had a contact climber redirecting through maple leads, but all leaned the same way. I had to keep telling him to go smaller.

One fork then failed, but without a damaging consequence.

I think what he was thinking is the redirect was just that but the line angles made it his primary rigging point taking the load of the drop.

Agreed, coupled with a too heavy piece and brittle/half dead wood for rigging points.

At my last job, the office got a call that two of our guys were fist fighting on the customer's lawn. It was Squirrel and the Caveman. It couldn't have been too serious, or the Caveman would have killed the Squirrel. Never a dull moment.
