I did a side job, guy had a BIG (for ohio) spruce limbed like that about 45' up and then it seemed like had gotten scared, he was just holding on.

It was a real pain to flipline up there, but I blew the top in one cut and then flopped the log for a quick $200.

HOLY CRAP! that chainsaw is AWESOME! where do i get one? seriously tho, i had to stop watching, it was making my gut hurt.

He made three cuts and said "That's enough for today" and came down. Ha! I'd be fired doing shit like that.

I'll sure never buy one of those saws! Orrrrr, hire that fellow!!!

Oh LORDY!
Hah HAAA, and electric chainsaw! I though he was somewhat intelligent with his two lanyards...then he cuts too close to them, then he places himself in line for a kickback disaster, then he chucks the lanyards away to come down tired, then, then, then

I'm still trying to figure out how he was positioning that lanyard... and that fall arrest, on his back? What was he gonna do if he slipped and took a tumble? Get knocked out by a stub? This guy is on par with that narcoleptic climber!

I wonder if he's deleted my post? Lemme look...

Its just the electric chainsaw...how can anyone take themself seriously with that up that tree? whhhzzzz, wwhhzzz, wwhhhzzzzz....zzzzz....oh I cut 2 feet of all at ONCE!

He does generally follow the three point climbing technique, even when leaning backwards and holding on with one hand. :\: Is that a breakaway lanyard for human life support? :\:

Funny, he tied the standing side of the lanyards on a shock absorber connected to the left D (look at 8'00). very useful.

It's good he wasn't higher in the tree.

Hopefully the only time I ever end up on the wall of shame.

I was feeling stupid this day. I never aired this clip because it just looks so bad. There was a second notch placed higher that was gunned a little more right at the request of ground personnel. The back cut was off regardless, poor one handed operation, poor rigging, poor rigging point selection, poor rope it goes on and on. As you see the limb breaks down at the first notch and pulls the rope right over the cut.

I saw something similar in another video and wanted to share it as a WARNING!

I love it, putting yourself in here, good stuff. Funny how often when ropes break nothing is damaged.

Yikes. It happens. Last time it happened to me, some 5/8 stable braid shot back up the tree at me like a bullet.
