today after getting a monster rotten- trunked ash down in that little yard; the client wanted me to climb two other ash and remove some dead hangers.

Was going to get my line in, no FS, it was only 4 or 5 smaller limbs, right up, back down.

after 6 shots, the throwline went over a dandy 6" limb, well, except that it was also over a pinky sized limb about 10" over it.

Try as I might, even with jumping on the line, I could not break it.

Soooooooo, I decided, what the frig, and climbed it, carefully:\: :O

I figured if it broke, it would just drop me 10", a bit of a jolt, but hell, I have had worse. ;)

I climbed that sucker all the way to 50 feet with my son pulling my slack as I went.

I showed him the little limb I was on, he just shook his head.

Albeit, it was an advantageous attachment angle, and there is no way I would have done it if the big limb wasn't directly under it :)

the power of hardwood, never ceases to amaze me man 8)

Yup, but in my case "Murphy's Law" always seems to happen. I am way too old for the thrill of havin' that lil stick breakin'!

I Wraptor up on stuff like that all the time, I always regret it when I get above 50-60 feet:|: Even though you "know" it will be OK it is still too stressful...

I took a 2 foot free fall doing that one day. It seemed like forever, but I just looked up and continued on......alittle slower because that really freaked me out. Got to love the F-it moments!
