The maritime provinces look might pretty from what I've seen, and I have several friends that have visited there and concur.

Not for me. I've been all over the east. Dipped my hat in the Atlantic on the east coast of newfoundland I did bye. Cold miserable place. Friendly people, but they talk weird even for Canucks.

A favorable season exists for every place, perhaps.

Like here in SE Oregon...Steens Mountain country is one of our favorites...but is only pleasant from late August to the end of October...rest of the year it's either too cold, too hot, or too mosquito-ridden to visit, imltho .
