You tell them the product you are going to run through it and how it is to be recovered. That will also dictate size of the grind as I recall.. Like on engine blocks and transmissions, real coarse as you have to separate large materials like aluminum, cast iron and steel. If all you are grinding is aluminum, real fine stuff. Tires down to the recycled chunks they use for mulch.. pretty cool stuff. CHOMP CHOMP.
