How is the development of your side-project of making things during layoffs?

Going good, but is tempered by lack of funds and desire to hang with the family. It always seems all the money you save up to do stuff is better left alone when laid off so you can use it to live off of if work doesn't pick back up when you were hoping. And since I'm hitting the road Monday for another overtime job, it will all come to screeching halt i managed to get a bunch done tho, so stuff can wait till the next layoff cycle.
