You guys saying they cant??? I swear I have seen pics of a dog with quills stuck all in its head. We dont have porcupines here, just skunks and coons.

that cuz the dog was stupid and tried to grab it, they turn so their backside; full of quills is all they get if they grab them

I was wondering that too. When I worked in Nevada our dog got into one once. My buddy held him and I pulled them out with a needlenose. Pretty brutal.

If you nip the ends off they depressurize and come out easier. I've had practice with three different dogs, ha, never the same one twice!

I have done that with houds too, layed my full weight on them, someone covering dogs eyes so they can't flinch and someone else pulling quills. Not fun
