Nice avoiding the milling! Bear in mind it's only 1/16" in a thin flange anchored in plastic so don't go heavy tightening the nut. But you've added to the original anti rotation holding power which is mostly still there. The steel nut galls the aluminum under heavy pressure and motion and stray chain oil will keep the corrosion at bay. Good stuff!
 
Was just doing some servicing since it's so damn hot I don't want to work. Bingo observation. Two of my 200T's have big more pronounced two-of-them flats on the aluminum insert (no spinny!) and the other one has your style - and it's currently spun out of position. If the repair gives out check for an updated superseded cover part number with the two flats.
