Now that Stihl has change the color of their mixture to pink, has anyone double up yet ? :X

Nope, we mix when we buy it. That said, I didn't know it changed, I buy several 6 packs t a time and all I have is blue still

me too, I have a few blue left then I am breaking in to a case of Shindaiwa mix I got on sale earlier this spring.

The Klotz I use has always been red or pink as you say when mixed. Never any problems.

The individual measured bottles are super expensive compared to buying mix oil by the gallon. I run Stihl synthetic (white bottle) and pay $38 per gallon. That's a whole lot less than what you guys are paying for those little six packs of the junk orange bottle Stihl mix.

My dealer gives me a great discount on several cases of ultra at a time. So I'm still on the old stuff. We always pour oil in before filling gas cans.
I can see double mixing becoming a problem though.

I buy the silver bottles and did the math, bout the same weather I buy it bulk and measure or buy premeasured. No brainer for me

oh you guys are just to damn smart...lol....I had my son fill up two of my containers one day and told him to add the mix. Next day when one of my ground persons went to use it they said it doesn't look like any mix was put in. I looked and not knowing they changed the color said, " nope, no mix,
add it in" investigating by looking in the bottle I realized they changed the color.... so I doubled up..... Oh well just a little more smoke...

I'm not so picky on mix oil .Usually Stihl or TSC depending on where I'm at at the time ,32 to one .The TSC stuff in a little 6 pack is 6 bucks so that adds a buck a gallon to the mix gas .Then again I don't go through fuel like y'all .Only maybe 4 gallon a month ,if that .

my 48 pack of 50ml Shindaiwa mix bottles cost me about $50 with tax at the sale price. I go through about 20 a year so I dont mind buying in the little bottles.

You guys got me curious. My straight gas out of the pump looks like it is tinted yellow now days. So no way to screw it up here being pink or red mix.

I use different color cans..... Red for straight gas.... Used to be blue but now we have the yellow diesel cans for mix. Granted... I don't have any diesel engines or I would have one more color like the opaque ones.

Someones peeing in that tank

Just a question guys: Does someone what to explain to me what's so terribly specia about Stihl 2-cycle. The rather large shop that I work out of uses and has used only Valvoline 2-cycle mix for the last 20 years, and many of the Stihl saws that we have are at least that old!

Orange bottle Stihl mix is crap, but most of the guys I know use it because they are afraid to use anything else. Also, it's convenient since every major saw shop in town prominently displays and sells it.

I don't know much about the orange bottle stuff, I used it back in the beginning of my chainsaw career. I now use the Stihl HP Ultra. I know I can put a saw or bush cutter on the shelf in November and pull it off in April and it will start up and run fine. I don't drain them out.
