Spiking doesn't hurt trees?

Good point re bark slipping in late spring on maples etc but those are the last trees you'd want to spike here in the steamy southeast US. Setting a high line and srt with the wraptor is all i know anymore. It's a costly toy but solves a lot of issues.

Uhhh...not much help to you here in narrowing it down, I fear...climbed with, trained and certified a whole lot of them over my 25 years or so at it.
