I was reading about that on the Buzz. "Easy" and "safe" are items hard to incorporate together in this industry. It's a very dynamic landscape, with more variables than are typically found in industrial type settings.

What's the course of action? I briefly tried to find the recall on their website but I wasn't seeing it. Google didn't find it either.

Are these available in the US yet? I saw them on instagram a couple weeks ago and my search yielded only UK vendors that had it available

It's a good looking piece of rigging.

What's the main use of the device? Climbing / slack tending? In which case you could become complacent and forget to inspect it regularly. You're using it hours at a time on every climb

Light rigging applications? Not as likely to fail there, I'd think. Only because you're breaking it down and re-setting it in most applications.

Nothing is fool proof. Just my 2 cents.
