I am trying to figure out how to create a PDF with my logo and info on it. Everyone says it is easy but I can't find out how to do it with the added info. Anyone help?

When it comes to things technical/computerish, I just find the nearest 10 - 14 year old kid to show me. :|:

One of the bennies to having lots of kids.

Cool, thanks guys! I dont believe I have ever used excel but that looks nice. I know I need to learn this for my business sake! I'll work on something in the next few days

Do you currently produce invoices in MS Word?

If so Cute PDF writer is the way to go. Free to download, google it. Once it is installed, produce the invoice, save it, go to print, select CutePDF as the printer, and press print. A pop up box will promt you to save as, and you have a pdf. Dead easy.

I want to switch over to using Quickbooks at some point, and I believe that will produce a pdf invoice for you.

Yes, Quickbooks will create all your invoices as PDF's if you want.

I also use pdf995...you can use any program (word processing, drawing program, etc.) to create a document and then print it using the pdf995 program...basically the pdf995 is set up as a printer and you just print your document to that printer. I have used it for years with zero problems. http://www.pdf995.com/

Cool. Can you set up an outline and fill in the blanks? Add your logos? I currently hand write everything

Willie, you set up the spreadsheet in Exel etc then when you are ready to print, use pdf995 as the printer rather than your actual printer, it creates a pdf file which you can save and then email, print or share otherwise. I have a formatted sheet I use in Exel for my invoices, its actually a few layers so I have an estimate sheet, invoice sheet, working numbers sheet etc all in the same file. With logos etc, if someone knows how to use Exel it would take about 10 minutes to create it for you.

Edit: Willie, I just emailed it to you, to give you an idea.

Che, I use exel 2003, if you have pdf995 it doesnt matter how old your other software is. It acts as a virtual printer.

I do this simply by taking a picture of the piece of paper with my phone. If you get the lens just the right distance from the page, there is no border or anything and the resolution is high enough to enable you to blow it up if you want. Then I just email myself the jpeg and re-save it as a pdf.

hark, do I hear the mating call of the tech geek? LOL! I love it! USE the technology! Thats why it is there. ;)

This is what we use at work. I would set up your file how you want it to be and save as a temp. file. The temp file (will have every thing of your info on it.)you add in cost and info save it how ever you save your doc name. So you have the original file and then you can sen t the cost. the pdf. which they can't edit.

I'm not sure how I missed those posts about pdf995, thanks Paul. I'll check into it tomorrow. Right now, I'm going to try and get some zzzs before this storm system hits tonight.
