I have for years kept a rope bag in my truck with a 150 ft of well used Samson 1/2" Bluestreak, thinking one day I'll use it for double crotching or a redirect while climbing. Hardly have ever used it for that purpose, here is what I use it for now.

I bought this Petzl twin pulley tree puller kit from Sherrills, I always wanted to own this setup for years but couldn't justify its high cost for my gearbag. Until I took a tree removal course last fall. When I used the instructors kit I had to own one.

Here I have my old 150' rope threaded through these pulleys as a 5:1, I have 30 ft of pull with these setup with alot of power. I just stuff everthing back into the bag and ready for the next pull.
If I need lots of umph to pull a big load seeing I work alone and don't have 5 guys to help, I just tie it to my loaded up Muck Truck powerbarrow and give 'er.

I give them to friends to use as tow ropes, fetching stuck vehicles, frozen in fish houses, sinking fish houses, deer drags, rope ladders for deer stands, dog runs, dog leashes, dog chew toys, whatever, the goes on and on
The people I give them to wouldn't use them for climbing anyway. And they're always happy to get a rope that actually has some strength to it, unlike the stuff you can buy at the hardware store

I have enough sitting around I may consider a rug for the garage.

Sure.

Ok so.. I wasnt sure where to put this, but since we are talking... I had this CRAZY dream where I was traveling see and somehow you, tophopper, or John is there. For whatever reason I am staying with you and your family... you seem the same but your not a tree guy, and you seem surprised that I think you are. But you know about the house, but you act like you didnt give anyone the impression that you were... and you were wearing a sweatervest. and that was it. weird right?
