Anyone have the Petzl Micrograb?

I have been using a 3-2 VT on my 3/8" Static line for a flip line adjuster. Multiple times I have been released when twisting sideways, something on the saddle will push against it and release it. This has thrown me unbalanced a few times. I'm thinking about just getting a mechanical adjuster. I want one as small as possible, how big is the Micrograb, in relation to something?

That's why I'm thinking of going back to one. Although it's nice being able to release under load with my current setup.

Have the macrograb on my safety, hasn't slipped yet. Must be pretty close to your saddle to get released like that. Mine is attached to the side dee with a long locking biner.

You might be able to make the VT longer or shorter if you haven't already. I used to use a VT on my lanyard and occasionally it would slip if it pressed against my bridge.

I switched to a Distel which ties up a little shorter and it doesn't do that anymore.

Nothing against mechanicals though.

I like a distal on my lanyard too, but pitch is a killer out here. The microjuster is a good choice on a rope lanyard, and the macrojuster works a treat on a cable core flip line. The Gibbs is good too, I just prefer the macro/micro.

I ought to be able to get some pics later today, too.

I prefer the Micrograb myself. It is just a bit smaller than the Gibbs or CMI rope grabs, and is easier to repair if you break the tensioner spring. Unlike a friction hitch, it won't gum up with pitch and won't be released when it gets bumped.

I have a distel on my D-ring...very reliable but pine pitch can make it REAL hard to work with. When there is no resin it is very smooth to use.

Don't buy anything yet Brendon. I'm going to be auctioning off a lanyard or two on here soon. A can only use so many, ya know?

The Cinch is a pretty slick adjuster - a lot like the ART Positioner. It is compact, slides smoothly even over pitch. But I don't know if it releases under tension like a Positioner does. Does anybody else know?
