looking for a better pad for climbers

A potential customer laughed at my price on work a few years ago and told me he was going to buy a set of "wolf claws"(the gaffs we are speaking of) and do it himself. Tree is still standing.

Those things look like they might hurt to use.

They are meant for ninjas, not arbos.

They have WAY higher pain tolerance.

Need some advice on different pads for climbers. I have the super wrap pads on my spikes right now, and time to retire them they seem to twist on the shank to much. I have Geckos at work however not going to invest in them for sidework. Any thoughts, looking at the Aluminum pads.

So, what did you decide to do?
