Logging The Blast Zone

Came across this old US Logger video from 1983 that I haven't seen in years. It's about working in the blast zone of Mt. St. Helens after it erupted in 1980 and how the loggers spent 3 years daily trying to salvage the wood. They did a hell of a job too, if you ask me.

Pumice and carbon is real hard on chain and moving parts. And filters.....

I was living in MA when St Helen's blew out. Watching from afar and remembering a family vacation to St Helens and Lassen when I was a young boy. Blew my mind.
