Not absolutely positive, but I think the michoacan/martin is a closed Blake's hitch. No experience with it, but I believe NickfromWisconsin does climb on it.

Tis true. I like it. I am usually using it with 8mm Beeline on 11mm Blaze and I switch back and forth between 5 and 6 wraps and typically tuck the tail under the bottom 2 wraps.

It grabs quick, slides easy and tends smooth.
