Saw this come up for purchase. Tad pricey. But the design intrigues me (except the telescoping feature) and Lock n Lube stuff is generally good quality.

it is nice minus price but I have a hard enough time getting a head 1/4 that size on the cut without leaving a 2” stub. I wanna see it take end weight off a maple!

What type of application would you find it useful?

I agree about loving the lack of rope. It’s a pain that gets in the way when using the saw or using the assembly as a hook.

Yeah that gizmo is a one trick pony. Although it does that one trick quite well.

I end up reaching INTO our cedars for deadwooding and such quite frequently, and while not having to mess with a rope would be nice, there's no way that thing would fit, let alone function.

It is not meant for cuts further out on the branch where the branch becomes flexible. In other words, the tool is not designed for pruning fruit trees or ornamentals. Attempting to make such cuts will result in frustration and possible damage to the pruning head's blades.

I would still be the guy to test that frustration claim.
