Hiatal Hernia Surgery

Anyone had it done? Im going next month. Trying to get a first hand perspective on the post op pain and recovery time.

Interesting. I have an umbilical hernia right now, and am going to wait till winter to get it done. Chris, what did your doctor suggest for recovery time?

He didn't. The surgeon will go over that with me. According to health forums, it takes weeks to be back to yourself and even longer to eat normal food again.

They're gone, never to return. I'm trim, but no 6 pack.

I have one, but no surgery planned for it.

Do you have trouble swallowing?

No trouble swallowing but I'm eager to get away from swallowing pills several times a day to treat the GERD.
