Helmet

I bought an Ecrin Roc years ago, then bought a couple more, since that's how I am.... We went caving with some friends a few months ago. I dug out the three Rocs, affixed headlamps to each, and me, my wife and daughter all looked like pros, even though we were far from it. Climbing helmets are good for everything! :D

Hard to say. Way better than no helmet at all.

Top and side impact, like a Protos, is desirable.

Don't know which is better, a bike helmet for tree work, or a tree work helmet for biking. Definitely, both will help in either situation. Biking is made for ventilation through forward movement and I suspect that there are lots of openings in the top, which are undesirable with falling sticks. Ear muffs on a bike helmet are silly. A face-screen or visor is good for both, but the visor will interfere with ventilation.

Side note, Senas or similar are a big help with pull trees that require finesse, not just power. I hate working without radios.

I’d definitely go tree helmet on bike instead of vice versa.

Ya know

My wife got me headsets for comms driving the deuce and we could never get them to work. Need to investigate.

Backing into spots with trailers or to hitch up, especially when damp air forms clouds from exhaust and its a muddy, mossy, steep spot, is easy easier with comms. I think you run into that a lot. 😉

There are some sena pairing videos. 2 units are generally easy and trouble-free. The means one is the master unit, adding a little challenge.
