We have neighbors that shoot illegal fireworks every year so we get a good show. Last night we saw at least twice as many, the smoke blowing down the street was thick!

yup my neighbors all shoot off mortars as well,
didnt bother with all the crowds and parking when i got the show from my porch for free
especially watching the cops go back and forth looking for them
i love the 4th of july

That really cracked me up, the first time I was in the US on the 4. of July.
Your firework laws are so strict compared to here, but your gun laws so lax.

You can cause a lot more damage with a gun than a firecracker IMO.

The night before we watched the Oakland ones across the bay from the same deck.

My fourth of July hangover is still with me. We had an impromptu bash at the beach house, just like every single one of the neighbors Its like one big roving party

The highlight of the night (so I'm told, I don't remember) was me screaming at Neil Diamond on the TV from the Boston Pops celebration but seriously, he SUCKED!!!!!

There is a small house down the road from me with a large mexican family livin' in it... they must spend over 5 grand in fireworks every year. Good stuff... big boomers...

So I just pull the lawn chairs out into the driveway and watch their display...
