Just a note that I haven't quit yet.

Not in the cards for me. I lined it up once in my early 20's to fly with a family friend. Hang gliding is big in my area, the Lumby Air Force. Quite a few launches around and stuff. Anyways like a week before I was supposed to go for my first flight the guy who was 'training' me (had already done some basic ground stuff) broke his leg.....you guessed it hang gliding. I took that as a clear sign to stay firmly planted on the ground. And never looked back, or up again as the case may be.

That is the same wing I fly. Also the same wing and harness I fly in the attached video but this guy is an absolute animal.

Bravest ballsiest dude I ever met and spent time with was Doug Domokos The Wheelie King, who died flying an ultralight aircraft.
He was an avid Hang Glider when I hung out with him in the early 80's, and would drive his green Team Kawasaki 4X4 truck to pick him up after landing.
The man was fearless, a bit volatile, and intimidating, until yu got to know him better.

Probably someone else's job, since they pilot is already strapped in.
There is something to be said for everyone knowing their job, having procedures, and checklists.
At least once a week, my employee asks me why tree guys don't Plan the work and Work the plan, rather go about so much haphazardly, and doing things the hard way, rather than thinking around tough work.
Start getting two people involved in a one person job, like connecting a trailer coupler, lights, chains, chocks, etc, and start getting "well, I thought...".
There is something to be said for everyone knowing their job, having procedures, and checklists.
