The aluminum bollard is my favorite lowering device I've used for predictable controlling, high speed catching of tops, easy for everyone. Less cumbersome than the harken. It must have been included for a reason. The harken I keep for those wonderfull special ocasions where I can just lift away.

Exactly what we are going to start doing Kevin. Right now, all my ground guys want to just use is the new Hobbs H2 Lowering Device that I bought from Don Blair when he opened his new shop. That thing is a beast and there are never any hockling issues.

Don't get me wrong, I still love the GRCS and it will always go out on jobs with us.

Yeah that Hobbs thing is straight foward fit for purpose. The harken is a specialty tool.
