DIY Penetrating Oil.

I've noticed on a rusty bolt it will start bubbling at the hole, making it look like it's penetrating. I had some ZEP stuff used to do that.
 
I tried ATF drain oil from changing my sisters Honda Accord for bar oil. Not much of a lubricant in that application. I was surprised.

I think ATF varies a lot. Some of the new stuff smells like cat whiz.
 
Just as general info DHMO is a super solvent used in industry .Technical grade did have amounts of mercury in it .Medical grade not recommended for humans was used on the joints of race horses and had no mercury .

Veterinarins carried it .If you use it be very careful because it's skin absorptive
