Random but I found it interesting. There was one fatality 6 miles from me when I was 12.

There were stories....again, I thought they were just that.......of snakes at those church services that were "milked" before hand.

Dry bites result. Also, stories of the snakes being chilled down, or otherwise anesthetized.

Of course there is always some Punkin or Blue Duck or some other manner of cousin shagger that comes along and spikes the punch bowl with a fresh, pissed off Timber rattler that he caught that mornin........

Reading through the list I noticed 2 things; neither darwin candidates or religious folks are snake proof.

That used to be my favorite thing about this area; no critters that can kill me except maybe a domestic dog, so no wild critters. Then they found rattlesnakes in the Niagara gorge. They’re endangered so no shooting them. I’m not sure if they’re deadly to healthy adults but don’t care to find out. Guess they’re pretty big too.
