I would be nervous as hell in some of those situations. I am glad the glaciers flattened everything around here.

They can be tricky even on flat ground .Where I'm at is about as flat as the Bonneville salt flats .If they blow the root ball the damned thing can sit right up on you which is not good .If they break off high that's not good either .Get out the cable and some power .You can fence post them apart to a point .I never tried to save logs out of them .
