Sweet deal! I'm booking a plane right now!

...oh wait... I'm not local.

I would rather go there, cut the tree down, leave the mess and tell him I changed my mind. You don't have to pay me. That looks like about a $450 job around here.

That's just mean right there... I like it.

At least he didn't insist on a license and insurance, most of these idiots want that as well:lol:

I need to side my house, do you think I could run an add and TELL people what I will pay?

"I want my house sided, I will pay you $300, you MUST supply the materials, you MUST do it right, you MUST obtain permits, and you MUST be insured. Call me, M'Kay?":P

Or how about just cutting part of it down, leave some snaggly part leaning over the fence!

I went to bid some work a year or two ago and was told....."Now listen up. I'm gonna give you $500 a day and I would like this all wrapped up in one day."

In more polite words i explained that he could eat chit, and with that I left.

Like i said Butch, it was in nicer words. But, I am human, and have handled things poorly a number of times since being in business. Find someone who hasnt.

I'm all over that tree. What a piece of cake. It already has a ladder at the base for access and a nice fence and some wires to slow the pieces down when they fall.:D

Bring in a saw with a 36" bar. Cut through the ladder, fence & tree all in one cut. Hopefully the tree is top heavy enough to do an endo over the top of the fence, then run like hell to never be seen again...Rick

Odd how it seems that when some people want to hire a person they suddenly turn into some kind of control freak

Makes me picture someone going to the gas station and telling the clerk they'll give em 7 bucks for 5 gallons.

His ad sounds like he's not looking for a tree guy...but rather any guy!

Why dosn't he just tack a poster on the hydro pole in front of his house:

"Wanted, student to chop down small tree because I can't be bothered. Job pays $65 only because I'm to cheap to hire a pro."

Sad part is, he'll likely find some shmuck to do it for that price...& then not pay the guy because there was a little saw dust left on the ground.

Some folks, eh!
