Anyone in a band or play an instrument?

Butch, I use an AT Pro 35 for the Bass, it is clipped right on the edge of the bass-side f hole, then mic the amp also with an EV RA200 going to the sound board.

I use an EV N/D767a for my vocals...best vocal mic I've ever come across.

The Bass is on the long end of the scale in the 3/4 category. It has a slightly longer scale than the 3/4 Kay or Englehart models. I've got around 3500 into this one.

That Chinese site I posted earlier had uprights. Shipping cost about as much as the instrument, and that was with the neck removed.

Costs close a grand just to get a neck set and reglued by a competent luthier.

I've heard and seen a lot of them, but never played one...there are surely better and worse ones. A friend owns a couple (one better one worse).

They are getting quite popular on the festival circuit.

Had a blast picking a show last night. Supposed to be two guitars & me on Bass, then another friend showed up with his fiddle...Isaac has quit touring with Marty Raybon and moved back to MI to pursue the career he went to school for.

My cut of the tips was $100...not bad for 2 hours or so.

Check out this bass. I'm not too crazy about the position of that pickup, however.

Do you have an ele bass?

Not any more. I had an old (I think) '64 Precision back when I played one. Had it converted over to active pickups.

That thing would be worth some money nowadays, even modified.

yeah, I couldn't afford another one or I'd probably have one. Anything else would be less...
