I told you guys near the beginning of the helmet thread that those add-ons are available.

Nobody listens anymore (grumble).

:D

I made my first one 20 years ago outta a black leather visor and a white bump cap. I looked like a motorcycle cop.

B, you also told me that the swivel on my bridge would tangle/twist my rope more than anything... I couldn't wrap my head around that, but damn if you weren't right! I still cant figure it out though, it seemed like a solution, not a contributor to the problem..

The swivel didn't work because you were treating a symptom instead of finding the root cause of the issue. The first step is identifying where the twist originates. I'll give you a hint, it's in your hitch. ;)

I was never trying to prevent the rope from twisting underneath me, but to be able to 'spin' and untwist the 2 strands above me that can get tangled from whatever reason. What happened to me was I could easily move and turn but the single strand exiting the hitch didnt turn with me, and I ended up having the tail wrapped around my waist and such. Basically it just didnt work for me at all. It was cool, but more of a novelty.

With such a big visor, you guys can look up and still see tree? I usually have to trim the plastic molded visors.

I do know this. I sure do bang my head on more branches with a brim than with out. Thus, my hard hat is more put to use with a brim than with out. As is my neck :D

I cut the top off a baseball cap and use it in the summer time...but I have it facing backwards to keep the sun off my neck. I'm considering getting 2 of these from treestuff and taking one apart and sewing the brim to the other one so I have the front and back covered.

Or you could get one of these, not too good climbing sometimes but good on hot days.

Fits most helmets and caps, I've had one for a few years.8)

Or you could just make one and save a few dollars.
