Have not watched it all the through yet , some comments are funny some quite truthfull. One in particular though when he talked of the 1900 era loggers using fire to clear the understory ... more or less correct but didn't mention Poison Oak being predominant shrub which was the targeted burn out
 
Really enjoyed that. He mentions raising the kids there. It made me wonder if after being raised in such a remote area if the children made a beeline for a major metropolis or are still nearby. At one point it sounds like a son pointing out to the dad about finding the Narnia books.
