200T Issue

Mondays or Fridays really have nothing in the equasion .Every so often though things get loose in the business of quality control and don't do so good in the hands of the end user .Now this obviously pisses people off and for good cause I might add .

Stihls little round about with not so good of Zama carbs on 200t's might be a more recent example . I don't think they intentionaly put out less the good parts it just happened .They wouldn't face the music and man up they'd screwed up which has caused untold amounts of bad press .Terrible management action on that situation and not likely soon to be forgotten .

Rambling on let me tell a little story that actually happened .

Ford had changed suppliers for thermostats on 3 liter V6 engines because of cost .All the sudden all 40 engine test stands were rejecting engines .I tried to convince the powers that be not to ship those damned engines because they wouldn't warm up property .

That fell upon deaf ears and they shipped over 5000 to body and assembley and 3500 got installed in vehicles but as luck would have it none were shipped to dealers to end up in the hands of the consumer .

The cost to replace those bad thermostats far exceeded what the pennys it would have been had not some know it all SOB would have just listened to a certain dumbassed electrician .That friends is how that stuff happens .
