I'm only defending them because they're "Manitoba" maples. We have a ton of them and I must concur most are not aesthetically pleasing but who are we to judge what nature has wrought?

I was reading that the Box Elder was a shit tree so I went through some old pics to find a nice one and show some love. Posted a few other random ones that someone might find interesting.

He's a Hutterite that left the colony. Proud and hard working, there was no question that he was helping. I won't accept money so he pays in t-bones and rib eyes.

Next door neighbor got me off the couch to finish a Siberian Elm that Hydro hot-spotted. The gopro died before we went too big on the last piece and bent one of the pool supports. He still considered it a win and we all know the customer is always right. The wife got a couple pics from our...

How far out from the trunk are you rigging massive stuff on a 1-2" limb? I should also ask why are you doing that?

Trimming job from last month. Deadwood, line clearance and I raised the droopy limb on the left in the background to facilitate the probability of maintaining an upright position whilst pushing a lawn mower.

Speaking of ladders I had a custy from the Netherlands who shipped one over from his home country. It was a Cadillac of extension ladders with 3 sections, a flared base and a simple operation with no pulley or rope. Aluminum but felt as sturdy as fiberglas. It was a pleasure to use.

Homeowner surprised me with a "no clean up" when I got there which was awesome considering I was pretty much dead on my feet by the end of the job. Felling cuts on the log were...

Got another spruce and a pine down today. I'm sorry, I put my head mount camera in backwards so you won't get to see any close ups of the Estwing hammer driving wedges but rest assured she performed beautifully.

Didn't climb today but had to over hand the throwbag to get anywhere with it. 25 strikes with a 16 ounce hammer. No more, no less. ;) My aim was a bit off on this one resulting in getting really close to the trailer. Made for a shorter drag anyway.

Box Elder removal for a co-worker. Did a bore cut on a horizontal that worked alright. I bucked everything and stopped and sharpened my saw before the last 3 feet of stump and voila, no corkscrew on the ALAP.
