Part of the reason could be docs afraid of loosing their license for practicing medicine in a way different than what the gov wants, regardless of the research studies available.

I will say, my local news stations seem to be doing a good job of getting all the facts. They often say after saying so many people died today that so many had certain comorbidities or were or weren't vaxxed.

I'd have to research some independent studies on the best treatments and be sure that the hospital follow those methods according to the patient's wishes. Family members would need to be present to help ensure they are providing the treatment we want. It's sad, but I have little confidence in...
