    Wall of Shame: Wannabe Experts

Ponderosa for sure. Extremely poor hinge characteristics when dead/dry. Not to mention scads of inexperienced climbers being used on fire cleanups. But hey, as long as you have a Protos and an insta acct, you’re in biz :|:

I thought an SBR might be cool?

If you’re packing at the beach, you’re scared. Justify how ever you like. So unless you also have a first aid kit, extra cash, passports, ice packs for heat exhaustion, epi pen for jelly fish, juice for a diabetic, defibrillator, two way radios, flares, extra fuel, generator, spare water, non...

I thought an SBR might be cool?

What a scared way to live. Always fearful, suspecting, worrying. I go to the beach to enjoy nature and let my mind rest. You should definitely try it.

    Fighting The Heat!!!

I use the hammer fizz electrolyte tabs. 3 or 4 in a 32oz water bottle per day. Then another 100oz+ of regular water on top of that. One of the best electrolyte ratios I’ve found out there, with minimal cost. No cramps. Consistent hydration throughout the day. I prefer to acclimate to the...

    Vermeer BC190XL chipper, thoughts, experiences?

I’ve enjoyed my vermeer. Responsive techs and overall has been bulletproof for 600+ hours. Like any dealer, you pay a premium for parts and service, but in return have a machine backed by solid warranty and support to keep working. That was my biggest desire when purchasing a new machine and...

What are you using for SRT and why?

91.375% of my work is done on: Bowline base tie with carabiner backup. Rope wrench, 12” stuff tether, isc phlotich pulley, rock exotica D biner and 8mm Armor Pruss. Foot ascender with lanyard over the shoulder to advance the system while ascending. If I’m doing removals, I just advance a canopy...

Throwbag - How High Can You Accurately Throw?

12oz weight for almost everything... cradle toss. Can hit 80-90ft consistently, mostly into Conifers. Big shot lives a sad life, pushed to the back of the pole tool box

    The Official Work Pictures Thread

Lol, do some research on needle programs skwerl. Must be hard to just spew ignorance constantly. Those programs actually save everyone money (social benefit, gasp), not to mention public safety.

Bandit 990 xp thinking of buying, any thoughts?

Mick, it is probably dealer dependent, but ours is shit. Had to go up the headquarters ladder and raise hell to get anything done. No sense of urgency or demos offered, pretty much blank stares lol. Other than that they are simple, great machines and I’d be hard pressed to buy anything else.

Bandit 990 xp thinking of buying, any thoughts?

I’ve got a 990xp with the 130 gas motor. It’s great, 700ish hours now and only a couple issues with the distributor cap and faulty clutch. Bandit can be little fuckers on the service side, so you have to be firm with them . Overall it’s a nasty chipper for the size, we chip 12” material...

    Motivation

Dealing with the same here. I’ve found delegating everything possible helps a lot. No easy road I think, but you can make it work for you. I’m heavy into the simple approach this year and it makes things much more pleasant whilst doing the grind.
