    How'd it go today?

That's a lot of damned driving for a broken lift, and they're all broken lifts, aren't they? Seems like that's always the piece of equipment that's acting up on my jobs. My client has tons of iron, but I'm not sure they own a lift. I think they always rent them, and they're always broken.

What's the cost of that round trip Knotty? edit: Trying to find you some trees to climb close to home. How about Hobart St Woods? Looks like it's in walking distance. Gets a 4.7* rating on google maps

Had to layout a little bridge, and I fell in the creek. I was crossing the stream diversion where they had laid down plastic, and I stepped on what I thought was a covered rock, but was just an air bubble. Got a little wet. Aside from having a wet ass, and being irritated, it felt good. Good day...

That's how I set handles. Just have be careful to strike square and true, or you can split the wood.

Toaster oven's probably my favorite appliance, though workday breakfast relies on the microwave. It's convenient throwing some sausage or a breakfast sandwich in the microwave, and doing something else til it's done.

I posted about my new internet phone, and I went into more detail than necessary, cause I thought it was pretty good deal. Thought someone else might be interested. If so, checkout Visible by Verizon. If their network's decent in your area, you can get a good mid range phone, and decent service...

Buying used(be VERY cautious with textiles!) will save a ton of money, but you have to be patient getting everything assembled. Also, Ikea. edit: Wood, bricks, cardboard and fabric can go a long way on the cheap

That was pretty interesting Dave. Is that drawknife a little big for that? Seems like it might be easier with one a little smaller.

    How'd it go today?

It does. It can be almost conifer-like, but perhaps isn't too bad low on the stem. I could also be mis-remembering. Timber framing/wood crafting isn't something I do, so I don't pay as close attention as I could. It's interesting, but not something I need to remember, so stuff I learn doesn't...

Seems like I picked up a couple new cats. These are the young ones I was talking about. One's a catch/release for sure. I think the other one is too, but it's hard to see. Both are very timid, and very skinny. I wonder who's fixing cats and setting them free without providing food? Kind of a...

Temu doesn't have a good reputation. Chinese junk, and shady practices. At least you were noticed. Means people are watching, and the vultures are noticing. You'll get the vultures you want after awhile :^)

I'm trialing a new phone and service for my home internet, and so far it's working out pretty well. It's Visible from Verizon. You get unlimited everything(hotspot's capped at 10Mbs) for $45 a la carte, or $395/yr if you prepay(prices are taxes and everything included). The hotspot's noticeably...

I have a grudge against mine cause he stole Spot's water bowl, and pooped next to her food dish. They're also common carriers of rabies, so I'm not fond of having them around, but they're amusing animals.

Speaking of shortening grass, I did that today. It was almost magical. Aside from the temps that never hit 80°, I got to skip big chunks due to the dry weather we had up until the weekend. I only sweat a little bit. Usually you could expect 85°-90° and about as much humidity this time of year.

Are all foxes pussies? I was in the backyard this morning when the fox came around. There's a little cat not long out of kittenhood that lurks around here, and she chased him off. This is a cat that gets turned away by Spot when she tries to get some food, and Spot's a little cat herself. My...
