What Non Essential Gear Do You Think Is Worth Owning?

2 man timber carrier. Not only useful for moving logs, have dragged white pine tops to the chipper. Pick up the butt end and lift with one man on each side of course. These days I prefer to leave it up to a mini loader. Let the hydraulics do the work. Articulating mini loaders ...... essential.

    Power pole saw?

How many of you using a power pole saw regularly? Was it worth getting? Any recommendations on brand? Wondering if I’ll end up using it more than I thought or just watch it collect dust apart from that one cut a year I need it for.

It’s been 1 hour 20 minutes since they rolled up and all the brush is minced in the trailer and the big wood is on the ground and almost all bucked into chunks and cookies.

Heat resisant cord long enough to hit the ground. Bail out or Bee line would suffice. I have mine already anchored to an appropriate place on the bucket or boom with an appropriate biner. Mine has a mechanical ascender/decender already hooked to my saddle with a biner. A simple figure 8 will do...

It’s the kind of video my young kids like. Loud and obnoxious YouTubers are annoying. Makes it very hard to watch even if I’m interested in what they are presenting.

Update: treeco rolled up 8:30 on Saturday. So glad it’s a weekend so I can watch how they do it. So far just two men with a trailer and a pole saw. Standing around planning the operation.

What would a "bail out bag" consist of in the bucket of a bucket truck which would allow someone like this poor guy to quickly escape the burning bucket? Something like a rope that you can hook to the side of the bucket, or some rated anchor point, with some kind of descender to hook to your...

    Wall of Shame: Wannabe Experts

You know when you see ladders being used that something immensely stupid is about to happen. Ah yes. The highly regarded and wildly popular "synchronized double barber chair" maneuver; ideal for tree guys who are allergic to face cuts and directional notches to go with their back cuts. A...
