    JRE

For sure. He did actually talk in some depth about it here and I didn't realize he had been in the shit

    JRE

He was also Canadian Special forces but generally doesn’t like to talk about it. Quite modest about it in fact. I recently listened to the latest Gaad Saad JRE and he schooled Joe in the facts Of living with oppression in the Middle East. He would know as a Jewish, Lebanese Arab.

    JRE

Despite being the OP, I don't actually listen to Joe all that much but here ya go- definetly one of the best JRE imo and one of the few I've listened to end to end. Devon Lariat, 51 y o champion arm wrestler. Lots of talk re, strength and fitness (including very unusual outlooks), life...

Best way to count cover/core strands?

Counting the darken strands gives you half the cover strands, or count the strands going one way and multiply by 4. Not too many companies give the number of core strands, there seems to be more with an odd number, rather than an even amount.

    Replying to a Post

I have been guilty of not reply/quoting and I have been confused when someone else didn’t.

I thought it was a computing power thingy, technically speaking. I agree that especially for strangers, quoting makes it easier. An outsider to a bunch of friends with inside jokes and slang and relationships will have a hard time getting into the group because it's hard to follow the culture.

    Beginner Tree Climbing Tips

Ropewalking up a vertical pole with a flipline is easy, with practice. Toes touch the trunk. Might help build the motion. Backwards bicycle motion. Shorter steps to start. I ropewalked 2-3 days ago was was taking more than 12" strides.

    Beginner Tree Climbing Tips

I cut a Petzl handled ascender down about 15 years ago. Been using it since. Tried commercially made floating ascenders. Not any better/ better enough for me to spend 150 bucks. Set up right, I float up a rope if rec climbing. Carrying an extra 20-30 pounds of gear, it smooth, but floating...

    Beginner Tree Climbing Tips

Made a little set up with the Petzl ascender back when. Prefer my SAKA. Well worth the spend. Gave this rig to a climber that used to work for me. He was wanting an extra set up to help teach some guys he worked with at his new gig...
