    How's the splice today?

It's a Witchard Marlin spike mate. I got it for Father's day and it is beautifully made. Fits just right in the hand. I dont use it on every splice as the end is slightly too sharp for some rope constructions. My old faithful screwdriver I sanded down is my go to.

    The RIP Thread...

Chuck Norris can strangle you with a cordless phone. Chuck Norris makes onions cry. There was once a street named after Chuck Norris, but the name was...

    How's the splice today?

Used Drenaline. Had to back the fid out on the cover bury as it was definitely not playing ball. Got there in the end. Who can spot the "mistake" that is causing me immeasurable professional shame and embarrassment?

    How'd it go today?

Failed codom red alder in a red alder. Plum tree on fence, final stages... prop trick... The tree is down safely. The panel that the tree overhung initial was not under it at the end. There's chicken wire at the bottom gap. There's a 2 section top plate. There's a trim board over the...

Lately I've been slicing up a bell pepper and a couple of stalks of celery and dipping in hummus. Fast and tasty.

    How'd it go today?

I’ve been on gas company ROW clearing for a while now. Mud season is upon us. Nothing terrible so far. After a few weeks of tight quarter areas we finally got a nice felling group. I’m basically running the mini skid and keeping an eye on the boys. Being the voice of reason when they try to...

Recommend me a site to buy signage from

The local place that makes up yard signs and such is swamped so I need to find an online place to get some yard signs, magnet signs for my truck doors ect. Can anyone recommend a site? There’s tons of options with a simple search but I don’t want to pay for junk.

    The Official Work Pictures Thread

A grove of over-mature alders fir a residential setting with advice ground power. The adjacent 80-90' alder, potential future removal, is a hard leaner toward the neighbors, over asphalt, barely reaching past the primaries across the street. 5-6 hours got the intact side stripped and...
