    Wall of Shame: Wannabe Experts

But the more you watch it, the more convinced you are that this is not “their first rodeo”…. I wager sketchy is their MO.

    How'd it go today?

Same. My house is my pin. Takes in account my elevation etc. Book marked, easy to pull up. Nice graphs to read.

    How'd it go today?

Just got the text that the fall cleanups are done. So, I guess I'm done. It's BS, there's a week of work, but he doesn't care, I'm pretty sure he's dumping the lawns this winter. I'm relieved, I need to work on my tractor and run the sawmill. I am glad we ended on good terms. Hopefully I hear...

This hard leaning alder was hovering over the fence. It broke in the recent wind. The crown of the alder was being supported by the crown of the fir that became the rigging block tree to hang the alder whole. I faced the tree toward the block a bit. After back cutting, once settled a bit, I...

Looks like even if it had worked out as planned, he might be buying a new bucket truck instead of a new skid steer….

This ash held and swung like crazy compared to what I’m used to. So much easier to work with. The limb in the foreground was over the flowerbed on the right. Walked it right down and over. Worked it down to this lollipop and then high stumped it. Towards the camera. Brushed the...

Gaskets arrived at 2:00. I got the fuel system moved to the new head, then had other fires to put out. It's 30* and dropping, so no mechanicing by flashlight tonight. I'm pretty confident I can get it together tomorrow, but we all know about feeling confident.

It's more a simple split than a barberchair, limited to the very bottom of the log's butt where the hinge is established. The hinge has to be relatively thin to be sure that it works properly, so a full grown barberchair isn't likely to occur. Obviously, more work is needed to get around that...

NOAA is much more localized than that, by a great deal. I set our location on the map and it covers about 1 square mile with my house in the center. The forecast is interpolated from data from a weather monitoring station at a local airfield just 5 air miles away, as well as broader geographic...

A lot less I would say. Never cut one, but branches break off a lot. Good sized branches. Seems to be quite brittle.
