The Official Work Pictures Thread

Ugly I know, it wasn't going for timber. I just stripped it then the manitou dragged the branches to a fire, then lost the trunk in the corner of a field somewhere.

thank you guys, names kyle i work for a local tree company, mostly doing Right of Way trimming and danger tree'ing

Great pictures everyone.8)

Where you been Carl, haven't seen you post for a while. You guys wouldn't recognise parts of Sydney now, developers have gone crazy.

Hey mate, I've been really busy, work and family house stuff but also needed to take a little time out from the online world, well apart from FB.

I get the odd report back from Sydney from my buddy, ex tree man now police rescue guy Pete, cool pics of tree rescue training, helicopter evacuation and hanging off the harbour bridge, looking forward to see him in the new year when he comes over with his family.

Sapwood is white and heartwood is dark in walnut. As layers of sapwood are added, the inner layers turn dark.

I quoted High Scale's post, but it didn't include bstewarts. That's messed up.:|:

The color change seems so sudden and dramatic, and many years ago, that's all.

Awesome....perfectly executed from what little I know of it. Would have been a terrible job without that crane. Great picture of the full tree being lifted.

Yeah it started to rain hard and than wet snow which added some extra weight to the tree, we had it cut up and chipped while the crane op. And one of my guys folded up the jib! We just wanted to get warm and outta the rain! It was the second crane job of the day, all on the same road so went well!

Awesome possom Cox!

Getting Eucky.

We took a day off from line clearing to do a nice easy job of killing some trees in a yard.
Rain and shitty weather all day, but still nice to do something that doesn't involve high voltage:)
The GRCS sure shines on a job like this.

Because the homeowner asked me to!
He wanted to keep the chip and the wood, which quite made my day:)

In picture 3 was the spar butt secured to the stump? It looks like if the butt left the stump it would pendulum back to the house? Or maybe the butt would hit the ground before it made it to the house. Am I seeing that correctly?

Lots of stump shot and the fact that Pinus Nigra is extremely tough fibered makes sure it stays in place.
Also, what you are seeing is not a humboldt, but a combination of traditional and humboldt to make sure it doesn't close before the stem is on the ground.
Faster than taking it down in pieces.
