I love those pictures Butch.

I was only ever in a strip club maybe a half dozen times. Mainly I got the same amount of attention by putting a 5 down that the good looking guys got for putting a 1 down. It was a poor investment.

I like bars with no windows. That way you cant tell either how dark it is if you got started early, or how light it is if you get started REAL early.

Glad I dont go to bars much anymore.

It doesn't make sense to me. If anything, they should run slower. A bar owner once told me that you didn't want the customer to know what time it was so they would stay longer...

I collected my pay cheque in a strip club for 3-4 years. JJ's in Campbell River. Relates to my other recent reminiscing. I was only seventeen when I started in the woods on the coast so wasn't even legally old enough to go into a bar let alone a strip club. Well my foreman was a stripper nutbar, he was married but man he lusted after strippers like no tomorrow.

So SOP was get out of camp and meet at JJ's to get paid. We'd fill the place up, my foreman would make a big deal out of handing out all the paycheques. A real 'presentation' of it so everyone in the place knew these boys were fresh out of camp with fat pockets. It was nutty at times, all the strippers would be sitting with us when not dancing, or when they were dancing only dancing to our side of the place ignoring basically all other patrons. And me sitting there 17. Lmao.

They tell us here it is because since the bars have to be closed at 2 am, they run 15 mins fast to make sure everyone has time to finish their last drink when last call is announced.

So they tell everyone to get out at 2 bar time, when it is really 1:45. Gives us drunks time to really be out by 2.

Ha no he was a real top guy to work with, a great foreman at work. Just crazed about women like that, not honourable in his dealings with them. He always brought stacks of 'traders'(porn mags) into camp with him. that always seemed weird to me.

Cory: Ordinarily, I would never take issue with you brother, and the remark about Trump was funny, but I'm afraid that our opinion of that word would is simply anachronistic. I've never met a Nam Vet that didn't use it.

I think those words have a use to describe the different place and time, but within the current context, you have to be careful. I say "Japs" when referring to the war years, but I'm not living with "Japs" all around now. :/: Lenny Bruce had a funny skit about that, showing people how that they can laugh at themselves. Nigs, Waps, kikes, he used such words on his audience, people would initially be upset to angry, but they would usually come away laughing. Not everybody knows how to find the humour in things, sadly, too conditioned or something.

I don't recall any clocks in Tijuana bars. Maybe because i remember other things too well. :O

I have dumped a few dollars in a strip club once or five dozen times in my life thus far. We have boys weekend in The Dells once a year and, well, some of those weekends are the stuff of legends. One particular trip to Chicago where we got a penthouse in the Trump tower made The Hangover look like a Disney movie. Total spent in one weekend came out to $16k split between four guys. Epic!

I remember those apple fritters in the morning. I can picture a bakery lady thinking more sugar to wake some poor mf up. Leather coat falling... I dunno, pretty uptown.
