Are we no longer HARDCORE?

I'm glad it's gone, I was a bit uncomfortable with it, my hubby 'bout had a fit the first time he saw the header in my favourites list.

Ok with it, uncomfortable with it...all depends on your perception and experience and each is as individual as the next.

Any porn aspect at all for me.
It refers only at the "hard core gamers" in my mind, those high level (and obsessive) video players. So the header fitted perfectly with the all-around world Tree House's members.

It's like the word 'gay', used to just mean happy and carefree...
Shame what's been done to language...
Oh well...

I'll always be hardcore whether the Treehouse 'header' shows it anymore or not!!

I was going to say something to this effect. We are still hardcore, we just don't have to advertise it on the forum header. A bunch of honest-to-god badasses here and I'm honored to be allowed to intermingle amongst you.

Personally, I think 'Hardcore" is better than "badass", the latter being the compound of two negative words.

How about 'Tip top, simply awesomeley excellent tree ladies and gentlemen, what what!' (all said with a plummy british accent)

Ever listen to the BBC old chap? (although these days they are quite regional and ethnic all in the cause of PC I guess)

That 'refined' oh so awfully English accent...as opposed to cockney or liverpuddlian or....oh heck, just ask Burnham, he seems to know :)

Ever been to old town Charleston, SC? Same accent, with a smidge of Gullah on the far side for extra flavor :D.

Say what, the "Queens " English then ? If so I can relate because the first time of several I was on the isle and heard a black woman talk with an English accent I was amazed after being used to gutter slang .As I think back though I'm not so certain which one was easier to understand .:?

Yes, removing hardcore. It always felt a tad funny when I'd go into the apple store for help with email problems on the computer. Here would be be some young 20-something girl, and all the email (notifications) would pop up with #1 HARDCORE all over the place. Also, when the kids come visit and use the computer.

For me it's better the new way.

Ain't gots time to mess around fool... weez still hardcore...

I never knew you guys here was hardcore. :O How did I miss it.

Hardcore is also a form of balls to the wall, full throttle rock and roll. Which some of the rurally located over fifty crowd may not have encountered. That is my preferred definition.
