Been noticing a few of these here and there. Wonder what causes it. Time to come down regardless.

Ah, I remember Murphy posting a vid about not removing all of the canopy that shades the trunk. It is very hot and sunny here. Off the top of my head, the trees with issues are indeed bare trunked.

Phuk it, cut it down. Lack of water is the culprit. Sun scald wouldn't be an issue if it had adequate water!

Or at least that's what I'm gonna claim...
