Putting your knife on the whetstone is more fun. Were hoping for some tuna this trip but they eluded us. Mostly mangrove, red and vermillion snapper, along with king mackerel, red grouper, bar jacks, some big cudas and of course, sharks and more sharks.

What kind it that shark. Do you cut the line near his mouth or a few feet away?

I think that qualifies as a "mess" of fish!

Nice work Ray.

Dont know if I mentioned this before, but a fellow from the big town over west stopped by and dropped off his NuCanoe Frontier 12 for me to try.

Very excited.

I reckon I will take it out to a little pond to the south tomorrow. Only going to get to 92 tomorrow, so a morning trip could be fun.

These dang things are very expensive, but it looks like they would be worth it.

Holds 650 pounds!

Man, I just saw a vid about a kayak fisherman that was fishing off of Hawaii and left his foot dangling in the water. No good result came from that. :(

Cool. I hope you get a kick out of it cuz there is definitely a kick to be had.

Cory that's a dusky. We try to get our hooks back but if you don't have a wire leader they usually don't give you the chance. We use a de-hooker that works really well if you can get them up beside the boat.
Jim, maybe the fellow that dropped off the canoe will forget where he left it. That's a nice looking rig.

A dehooker!?! Wow nice. Do you have to use special hooks for it to work?
