What is an old Stihl 015L in this condition worth? It runs, but will not suck fuel. Sould be an easy fix, so if this did work well what is it worth?

Probably not worth much, not in very high demand. Perhaps if in pristine shape, some collector might want to pay something if he wanted it added to his collection.

Thanks for the info, I'll try chainsawcollectors.se. It belongs to a friend of mine, and he want's $300. Ebay shows they might go for $80-180. I figure it might be best to use it if bars and chains are still available for it.

F, no, $300.

You can buy a NEW 192t with anti-vibration, unlike what looks to be a hard body saw, for under $400, warranty and all.

Sounds like it is in my price range, I've been wanting a top handle saw, but it is an all metal brick. I might use the fact it needs carb work to get a good deal.

I wouldnt pay 50 if it ran perfect. Good Luck to your friend.

Nothing wrong with paying and collecting things that don't have value though, it's a good way to learn what does.

He seemed fine with your evaluations, so I bought it. I'll get it running, cut down 4 huge pines, and get my money back on ebay. I only wanted a small top handle saw for cutting those pines around my house.

Here the 020 and 020T was out same year, '71 I think it was.
First sale on 015 was a couple years after, perhaps 73 if I remember correct.

That doesn't say much. you never got 020 BIG or 020 with heated handles either...
First ones was with integrated starter in fan cover, not seperated.
Wonder why they were sold here and not in US?

The screws were really stuck in the 015. I put half my body weight on it, gave a good twist and broke a flat blade screw driver. Grab it pro got it out. I flipped around the fuel filter, and took apart the carb which looked clean, but I still added carb cleaner. It runs well now. I hope it lasts through 4 pine trees because the bar sprocket has worn to very sharp needles, and there's a deep groove in the drive sprocket.

magnus show us a pic right here of this 020T you guys had in 1971 please. I bet you are calling the 020AV a 020T.
