Skiddy didn't even need to be in the 'hood for that tree. Best it could do is tickle it's toes.

There was another, pulling big rope with grapple truck, cutter walks into the triangle of death, rope breaks, he catches it on the hard hat, knocks him down.

Thou shalt not "YouTube video how to" on trees.

Kaveman hath spoken, thus it is law.

Really though, what in the actual F$#K? They obviously had a climber up to take off the limbs and logs on the ground, why not the rest of it? I just do not understand stupid.

I think he left too big a hinge cos he was worried, so the rope couldn’t do its job.

A better hinge, wedges and more controlled pull, but adrenaline got the better of him and he called for ‘Mo power’ and a career defining clusterfck ensued.

Lessons to be learned.

Edit. I just rewatched it with my own comments in mind, I think I was way off in my earlier diagnosis.
The hinge gave way very easily, too thin?

That was a whole lotta tree. With that much weight, and perhaps some internal rot (?), maybe no reasonable hinge would have held up to the sudden shift of weight to the back cut.

Obviously a much stouter pull rope was in order.

For true, dumping that monster onto a road is an odd choice as well.
