I have always been fascinated by the Viking technology of ship building. I will have to read more about it someday.

We have a museum dedicated to a bunch of ships that were sunk to blockade the entrance to the city of Roskilde, then dug out sometime in the late 60es.
I take all of my American visitors there.
They have several ships ( Or what is left of them) on display.
One is a long ship, made for raiding.

It is absolutely beautiful.
